Bruegger’s Relief Position

Bruegger’s Relief Position is a great exercise to relieve tension in your neck and upper back and to also help prevent rounded shoulders. This exercise should be done several times daily, ideally once every hour especially if you sit a lot at a computer.

How To Perform Properly

To perform Bruegger’s Relief Position, stand up with your feet shoulder width apart. Hands are at your sides with palms facing forward. Bring your shoulders back and down and pull your shoulder blades together. Allow your head to go back and look up. Hold for 20-30 seconds. You should be relaxed without having tension in your body during the exercise.
